GENEVA SWITZERLAND - April 30, 2009

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WARREN!!! After our arrival in Geneva we enjoyed a delicious meal with our mentors, George and Kathryn Jarvis at their apartment. Before eating our dessert, Kathryn put a candle in some ice cream and we sang "Happy Birthday" to Warren. Then they took us to our temporary apartment in Meyrin. Kathryn had arranged a beautiful bouquet of lilacs to welcome us.

Orientation in Salt Lake City

We are working under the Legal Council for the Church. Elder Lance Wickman is the General Legal Council. He set us apart. Bill Atkin is the International Legal Counsel and we report directly to him. Bill is my cousin - my Aunt Clara's son (Clara is my mom's sister). Bill gave us an orientation about our calling before left for Geneva.

"Enter to Learn Go Forth to Serve" - April 27, 2009

Government Relations is our mission assignment so we met with some faculty members at BYU's Law school to receive an orientation. We will be at the United Nations in Geneva, Switerland representing the International Center for Law and Religion Studies at the Law School, and the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies, which is an ECOSOC- accredited non-governmental organization there. As we entered the campus we saw BYU's Motto: "Enter to Learn Go Forth to Serve." This is our quest! We hope we can do it well!
